You've got yourself a broadband connection and started to build your own site. Trouble is you have no where to host it. You also don't want a site name that is too long for your guests to remember.. What are you to do?

Why not host your website on your own computer allowing others to view it. You computer can act exactly the same as most software with some simple to set up and use software. The best thing about it is that it is all free!!

So what are the disadvantages? The main one is that your web site will only be running when your computer is on and connected to the net. Because users are connecting into your machine you may also have some bandwidth issues if there is a lot of traffic on the site. Another is masking your IP address or obtaining a IP address, however I will explain how this is possible.
